Kaeya exhales with displeasure, barely keeping from scowling. “Master Diluc, can you hear me?” He tries to keep a teasing tone, rather than show just how much this indifference game hurts him. “Hm?”
“…” Diluc sighs and deliberately turns his head away. Ouch.
Diluc suddenly becomes unable to see Kaeya. Thinking it’s just Diluc’s usual hatred for him, Kaeya doesn't suspect anything wrong.

He set the plate and cup on the nightstand, and carefully, as not to wake him up, unwound the blanket from his shoulders to smooth it out across him once again. He took a long minute as he settled down, brushing fingers across his forehead and pushing back thick, dark hair. His lips parted around a small whimper, and the man lowered his head to plant a kiss between furrowed brows. The kiss was followed by a firm hand, and a small, slightly exhausing burst of energy.
“Sleep well now, my little one, until light. I’ll see you soon enough.”
