“I’m pretty much done with it,” Gunwook reveals, suddenly shy. “I’m just finalising some lyrics, making some minor tweaks here and there. I finished the English sections, though.” He pauses, gnawing at his lip. “I wanted to let you hear it before anyone else.”
He doesn’t say that he’d thought of Matthew half the time while he was penning the lyrics. All those hours in his studio, alone, writing of love and desire and passion, feeling the words come to him easily, his fingers moving across paper as if possessed by the spirit of Shakespeare when he wrote Romeo and Juliet. And one singular thought in his mind the entire time: Matthew.

Summary
Matthew’s fists are wrapped tightly around Gunwook’s jacket. He can feel the other’s gaze on the side of his face, hot and heavy, and forces himself to stare at the in-ear dangling around Matthew’s neck instead of meeting his eyes. He fights the urge to swallow harshly as Matthew suddenly unclenches his fist, releasing Gunwook’s jacket and Gunwook mistakenly thinks that this is all over. He sucks in a breath as Matthew leans in, grabs the chain around his neck, and pulls. Hard.
It takes all his willpower to not stumble back and fall on his butt. Nonetheless, Gunwook is not a god, and he shuffles back instinctively anyway, lifting his chin such that he’s staring at the impossibly high ceiling of the stadium instead of at any part of Matthew. The tug at his neck persists as Matthew attempts to draw their faces closer together — he can practically feel the older’s breath skimming across his jaw. Oh god. Oh god oh god oh god. Gunwook’s heart is just about to beat out of his chest. It’s laughable that he’d managed to power through five straight hours of non-stop dancing but one brush of Matthew’s fingers around his neck and he feels his legs start to give out.
