“Will, I’m sorry.” Mike tried to apologize, softening his voice like he always did when Will got upset, but Will’s facial expression didn’t change. He didn’t get less angry, in fact, the change in tone seemed to make him more upset.
“No you’re not.” He spat, turning the knob of Mike’s door. Mike was desperate to find something to say, to fix things, because he tried to fix it like he usually does and it only made things worse.
“Will—”
“Goodbye, Mike.”
