“—In addition to the Mora owed, and being provided with housing, I’ll also pay off your outstanding debts.”
That sounds far too good to be true. Kaveh frowns. “All this, for a painting? What’s the catch?”
“On top of the portrait I’ve commissioned…” Alhaitham pauses, “Well, I want you to pretend to be my mate.”

Summary
Rivetra. AU. Petra sees Levi fairly frequently, either in the student lounge or the communal kitchen, sitting in the furthest possible seat away from other people, always poring over their solfege homework or practicing his conducting with his earphones plugged in. She usually leaves him alone in those moments of intense concentration—but there’s something alluring about how hard he works, as if the genius rate at which he’s learning still isn’t fast enough for him. Even in the evenings, when everyone is relaxing, it always seems like he’s somewhere else, his stormy eyes gazing off toward some faraway land, wrist flicking to music she can’t hear.
In which Petra is living her dreams and Levi’s trying to find a new start. Of moveable solfa, choral conducting, and both of them getting much more than they bargained for.
