    “Sorry, I don’t mean to be rude. It’s just that—there aren’t really girls like you in LA.”

    Elle notes, belatedly, that this might sound rude anyways. Liz doesn’t seem all that offended though, she almost looks amused as she leans towards Elle and tilts her head,

    “Girls like me?”

    Girls like you, Elle wants to say, girls who are pretty like boys, with wide grins and dimples and eyelashes like oh my god.
