Jinx furrowed her brow, clearly unsure. “What do you mean, ‘about us’?”
Lux shifted slightly, her hands finding Jinx’s waist momentarily before resting them in her lap. “Maybe Seraphine was right. We write *our* story. Not what people think they want to hear. What *do we* want to say? What’s real? What’s *us*.”
Jinx thought for a moment, a slight frown forming. Then, after a beat, she smirked and grabbed the pen off the table.
