This wasn’t a memory, it wasn’t clutching frantically at the cool metal of the Iron Spider suit as death spilled out around them. It certainly wasn’t covered by an end-of-life blur, wasn’t permeated by the frustration of trying to say goodbye without words.
No, this was just... this was just Peter: hair messy, wrapped in an oversized Midtown sweatshirt, warm and breathing and solid. Not dust, not ash, not bloodied and afraid.
