“I know it hurts, I’m sorry.” Robert gently set down his grocery bags in front of him, about three feet from the entrance of Chad’s nest. A peace offering. “But I brought you some things that’ll make you feel better.”
He spread his fingers in the universal gesture for peace, baring his neck and submitting to his Omega. “Can I come into your nest, sweet thing?”
Or: Robert is a Beta and Flambae is an Omega, and they've been dating for around a year now. Robert comes home to take care of Flambae in heat.

Seba huffed a laugh and stepped away.

Someone asked Rozanov a question that June missed because of her wandering eye. She chastized herself. What was the point of a journalist who didn't actually take note of what was being said?
"Our strategy has been to focus on fundamentals. Without Hollander on the second line, it—oh, hi, Sonya."
June's ears perked up. Sonya? Rozanov leaned down behind the table as if he'd dropped something, and when he came back up, it was with a little girl June recognized as Sofia Hollander-Rozanov. Rozanov got her settled in his lap, kissed her cheek, and looked out to the room.
June's a small-time sports journalist at a small-time publication, frustrated with what she's assigned to cover. She's expecting another dry post-game press conference from Ilya Rozanov... and then something unexpected happens.

“Hope next time we play, you decide to show up.”
As far as chirps go, it’s pretty banal. His tone is far more light and friendly than Scott usually hears from some of the other players— which makes sense. Hollander isn’t known for his shit-talking, in fact he’s known for his complete lack of on-ice antagonization. Hollander plays a very clean game, lets his skill on the ice stand for itself.
Scott should just make his own quick quip in response and skate off. Something that matches Hollander’s energy.
But Scott isn’t feeling very light, nor is he feeling particularly friendly.
