Summary
He tracks Dex around the kitchen by the vibrations of his footsteps. He goes from the sink to the cooler to put away the left over food in the fridge, puts the gun-grease rag in the laundry hamper, puts his gun in its case and stashes it back under the couch. Everything gets put back exactly how it was before they left, and only then Dex comes to sit on the couch a few feet from where Matt’s on the floor basking in the fan’s cool air.
you know when you come back inside from a really hot day and the transition from hot bright outside to cool dark inside makes you like. lag for a second. just me?

Summary
Dex’s boots hitting the floor fills the silence as Matt slowly presses the barrel of the gun lengthwise against his scarred cheek. It isn’t hot enough to burn, but Dex can feel the pale pink mark it leaves as Matt moves to rest it gently against his temple.
I made myself wait to post this until I had finished my final paper for class. if anyone wants to read like 10 pages on hormonal contraceptives too lmk

The leather and kevlar fits him just this side of snug, the inch of give on Matt’s body not present on his paradoxically familiar form.
Dex thinks it might feel a little like coming home, if he had that sort of sentimentality. Matt had made him, after all, just as much as he’d been pushed by the Fisks— they couldn’t have come up with this character if they’d tried. Plus, it’s a newer suit. The blacked-out red that’s been haunting Dex’s dreams presses into his skin and leaves lines at his seams. Matt’s never getting his scent out.probably the filthiest thing i've ever written, and i'm not even that sorry. i have to go think about blood now

“Proud of yourself, Dex?” gets growled in his ear, Matt’s grip tightening around his wrists. “This what you were going for? Are you done mouthing off?” Dex laughs into the mattress and shakes his head— he’d started a fight earlier, got on Matt’s nerves on purpose, and now he’s paying for it. Matt growls and yanks him up to standing, adding to the dizzy feeling that comes from getting thrown around. He gets pushed and pulled until he’s facing Matt, wrists still held, standing between Matt’s spread thighs on the cot.
