When Arthur meets a young man called John in Saint Denis he is sure that he's a lucky bastard, even if it's just for one night. Not only because John is the prettiest little thing that he had seen in quite a while, but also because $7 sounds like a reasonable price.
By the end of the night Arthur realizes that he had been wrong from the very beginning and that the original is often the best choice.

Dutch’s voice was droned out as he got distracted, watching the way Charles moved and how his hair fell in front of his face only for him to shove it back multiple times. Arthur barely noticed he was staring until a tickle in his throat made him cough.
Dutch paused his little speech as he watched Arthur cough into his fist, a full body cough that made him shake. “Are you alright there son?”

The little bird sitting on the top of Arthur’s grave tilts its head and peers at him, then flutters off in a burst of chirps. Charles draws in a lungful of smoke, holds it there for a long moment until it burns, and exhales. He sets the unfinished half of the cigarette at the base of the cross, the smoke spiralling skywards like a prayer, and runs a thumb over the fading knife cuts in the wood.
