Ellen Cochrane dots her i's and crosses her t's, pays her rent early, darns her socks before they're holey, and makes hectographs of every pamphlet she writes, just in case. She strives to be a woman perpetually prepared, but, despite her best efforts to head off her inevitable separation from Edward and spare herself the heartbreak, Ellen was prepared for precisely none of what followed...

Or, the one in which Edward makes a different choice, and Iveagh House will never be the same again.

    Summary

Between a rift with her family, her burgeoning culinary career, and the counseling sessions that she swears do nothing for her anxiety, Taggie O'Hara's life is kind of a mess- dating history included.

So, she does what every other twenty-year-old on the London dating scene does, and swipes.

But of all the people Taggie O'Hara expects to meet on the apps, her father's long-time rival and ex-MP Rupert Campbell Black is not one of them.

And sure, maybe her love life was about as successful as England had been in every World Cup since 1966- but a thirty-eight-year-old playboy who's Wikipedia included more extramarital affairs than political victories was not the solution.

    Right?

    Summary

    "Four months and six days.

That’s how long it had been since Agatha O’Hara had spoken to Rupert Campbell-Black after that damned kiss.

Four months, six days, and about twenty minutes. Taggie couldn’t read for shit, but she certainly had a knack for measurements."

In the wake of the silence that followed their kiss in the priory kitchen, Taggie moves on with her life- or at least, she tries to. She dates Seb, caters parties, picks up after Declan, and tells herself she and Rupert are perfectly capable of being just friends.

But letting go of the past is never as simple as it seems.

"And if you come to me
    When I've promised to commit
If you told me that you loved me
And asked me for a kiss
Well, I'd at least have to think about it"

    Summary

Ellen felt a strange rush then. He could just leave, and suffer no consequence. He was trying to protect her. He was trying to protect her, but he did not want to say so. Despite the fact that she had been lording her victory with the New York news over him since he arrived and showing him no sympathy, he would not leave here and let her suffer the consequences.

I loved so much the tension of our fave new star-crossed lovers, Edward and Ellen, that I wanted to expand the scene and use that as a jumping off point. The Episode 5 and onwards we all deserved.
