Summary
Dennis got over Mac many years ago. It was necessary for him to bury all the attraction he felt for his best friend so as not to ruin their bond. Mac wasn't exactly the accepting and tolerant type.
In the years since then, things have changed. It's no secret that Mac has feelings for Dennis, and for this, Dennis is resentful.
Occasionally, there are touches or encounters, that always end with Dennis pushing Mac away. One such encounter pushes Mac over the edge.

It was just a pipe dream to get alone time now; even when they were apart, they were still intertwined in some way because Dennis could hear every disgusting, whiny sound from whatever Grindr hook-up was there that night.
A stupid idea popped into his mind, so stupid he let out a small chuckle to himself.
Grindr was free; if he just signed up, he could get Mac out of the house for a hook-up, and have the persona ghost him after. Might give Dennis an hour or two to think; knowing Mac, he’d be dumb enough to wait that long in hopes of the guy showing up.
It was a dumb plan, just to get Mac out of the house for a night or two, give Dennis some much needed alone time. The way it spiraled out of control was unexpected; Dennis was always in control, of himself, of Mac, his emotions- He shouldn't be getting jealous over Mac's boyfriend that he created.

Summary
Mac jumps in his seat when he looks up and finds Dennis right in front of him, practically standing in the empty space between his parted legs.
“Jesus, dude, you scared the shit out of me, I didn’t even hear you—”
“I said,” Dennis leans forward. “You feel like doing something with this tonight?”
Crisp white shirt. Pressed black slacks. Dennis loops his thumbs behind the firm line of his black leather belt, head tipped to the right as though the lopsided smirk blurring his mouth is too heavy to hold up straight. It’s all Mac can do to clumsily disguise the air escaping his lungs with the wobbly thunk of his mug against the coffee table.
“You kept it?” Mac asks, eyes widening. “How…how’d you get all the blood and oil stains out?”
“Just answer the question, Mac.”

“Wait–where's the women?” Dennis grabbed Mac’s arm, stopping him in his tracks.
“I lied.” Mac smiled. And just before Dennis could go off on him, he was distracted by Mac getting uncomfortably close, breath puffing against Dennis as he leaned in. For a moment, Dennis thought Mac was going to attempt to kiss him again; instead, a hand reached into his back pocket, stealing his keys. “You’re staying, better find a way to entertain yourself! Love you, bro!”
Mac convinces Dennis to go to an orgy, but once he discovers this is an all gay event, he sits and waits for Mac to be finished. And discovers a way or two to keep himself entertained as he waits.
(AKA, Mac gets a train run on him, and Dennis watches while seething with jealousy.)
