Summary
Wilson Lannon was a Japanese-Irish boy raised in Houston, Texas.
He had always been shy and reserved, spending lunchtimes drawing in the library by himself.
In December ‘91, at only sixteen years old, his father decided that he should go to Ireland to help his grandparents on their farm in Co.Kerry. Wilson couldn’t argue and, being honest, it would’ve been a lie to say he hated it.There were only two things he hated about his grandparents house: his grandfather and the lack of a landline phone. The latter meant that communicating with his best friend back in Texas would be harder but, considering the two boys were initially introduced through a school penpal project back in 1989, they made it work.
Brando Evans was born and raised in Round Rock, Texas. His social skills were the complete opposite of Wilson’s. Brando was outgoing, loud, popular, and appeared confident and charismatic. But underneath all those layers of charm, hid an insecure boy who was brought up by an extremely homophobic mother.
It was now 1994.
Nothing turned out how Wilson and Brando imagined but they found heaven.So let me tell you a story about a boy and a boy.

Summary
Ryland Grace is neurodivergent. Not that he has any idea about this.
What he does understand is that he seems to be on a different page from just about every other teacher at his school, that his mentor seems committed to misunderstanding him, that he seems to work longer hours than anyone and still can't complete everything.
He's the students' favourite teacher though, so maybe this will be enough?
