Summary

Summary
After being heavily injured in the line of duty, Major Tanya von Degurechaff is relocated to an infirmary safely away from the frontlines to recover. She is accompanied by her adjutant, Lieutenant Serebryakov, who has to help her account for the limitations her injuries have put on Tanya's ability to take care of herself. Feelings of admiration begin to grow into something larger as the calm away from the battlefield allows them to grow closer to each other.
