Summary
In 2018, the world almost ended. The world almost ended on a surprisingly frequent basis, Stephen had discovered in the last two years. But this time, this time the solution seemed just as bad as the problem itself with five years lost and so much suffering in the interim and the years after. So Stephen pushed himself farther than he ever had before to see if he could find something else: a solution that was less cruel, less harmful, less impacting to both Earth and the universe as a whole.
He found it sometime after approximately 22.3 million futures.

Loki freezes. He recognizes that name from their cultural studies—the daughter of King Laufey, born small in the icy realm of Asgard’s enemy. Though, not so much an enemy anymore; negotiations discussing possible peace treaties and open borders have been in the works for some time now.
That can only mean one thing. It’d take a fool not to piece it together.
