Summary
“Thousands of years ago, Byakuya and the others landed back on earth to rebuild civilization. Right here in this spot,” Senku looked up at the tree that contained the Soyuz capsule with a sad smile, “And now there’s nothing left of them. Except maybe a few pieces of rock here and there.”
The dead will not come back. No matter how hard they work to revive the rest of humanity. Neither his father, the rest of the space crew, nor the statues that have been weathered down can be saved. Kohaku knew that much.
Senku pays a visit to the Soyuz capsule one last time before they return home.

"Ishigami Senku," Kohaku says his name in full, testing how the sound of the two names together rolled off her tongue. It felt off. Too many syllables for her liking. “Is that right?”
After learning that Senku shared the same name as the village, Kohaku asks him to tell her more about surnames during an evening stroll.

Summary
"I wanted to say thanks again," she said as she handed over the fragile glassware. "For healing Ruri-ne with your medicine. For saving her life."
"Heh, well it's—" Senku had wanted to make a sarcastic response but stopped after noticing the tremble in her voice towards the end of her sentence.
Kohaku approaches Senku on the night Ruri made a full recovery from her illness to give her thanks, but ends up breaking down instead.
