Summary
“They have an Iruka?”Kakashi leaned toward the glass for a second look. Sure enough, amidst the rows of Nya figures posed inside the display, there was an Iruka cat. It was dressed in a simple Konoha uniform—very Umino-like, to be sure, but perhaps slightly dated, as Iruka very rarely wore his old shinobi uniform anymore.
From the short ears to the neat, stubby paws, the sight of the mini-Iruka somehow pulled at Kakashi’s heartstrings. He wanted to play the game, to compete for the Nya and try his own luck at rolling the cute figure.
He told himself that he was being silly. It was just a figure.
Well—a figure of his husband. The love of his life. Who also happened to like cute things.
“Maa—shit. I guess there’s no helping it.”
Boruto’s blue eyes bored into him. “My mom would yell at me for saying that word.”
“And your father too—so I’ve heard,” Kakashi grumbled. “What do you think are the odds I get the IruCat?”
“The Nya Iruka? Statistically, you’ve got to get a lucky roll at some point, right?”
“Right.”
