Between vacuuming at 2AM, karaoke solos through the wall, and dramatic monologues about drowning in the bathtub, the man is impossible to ignore.
Answering back was Atsushi’s first mistake.

“You refused to take the mandatory swim test,” Mori said suddenly. Chuuya lifted his head up at the sudden topic change. “Are you afraid of water, Chuuya-kun?”
Chuuya didn’t like where this was going. “No, sir.”
A small ‘ah’ of understanding left Mori’s mouth. “So just afraid of being submerged then?”
His heart skipped a beat. “N-no, Mori-san.”
Mori chuckled. It felt like a death sentence. “Don’t lie to me, Chuuya-kun.”
OR
Mori knows Chuuya's worst fears and uses them as punishment.

Summary
When a few minutes pass and he still shows no sign of sleeping, brain still painfully awake and eyes hurting from the bone-deep exhaustion, his frustration starts to leak into his chest.
He can’t sleep at all, not even for a second. And because of this, Mori’s just going to find some cruel way to force him into a slumber. He’ll probably tie him down until his sleepless nights catch up to him and he succumbs to his bittersweet fatigue.
Or; Dazai can’t go to sleep because of his insomnia.

Chuuya scoffs, and there’s something else to his tone that Dazai can’t make out, something other than Annoyed At Dazai. “Did you get hit in the fight, idiot?”
“No?” Dazai guesses.
But really, he doesn’t know. What fight? Dazai doesn’t remember a fight, and the last time they had a mission, Dazai wasn’t hurt. Chuuya’s making a mistake.
Dazai can maybe hear soft murmurs that sound a little like what the fuck, but he can’t be bothered with whatever Chuuya’s problem is right now. He’s tired, and his head hurts bad enough that he might actually consider taking painkillers if he were allowed to have them.
