Summary
Welcome to RecallAPassingHeart (Icarus AU)
This is a roleswap AU, in which Ace takes Dragon’s protagonist role.
The cast will get minor design changes. For example, Ace here wears a long orange scarf, Dragon has actual dragon wings and tail, Purple carries tools on her belt… things like that. The most important addition is that when you get eclipsed, you can still control your vessel, making this a “partial eclipse” instead. Until eventually, you give in and become fully eclipsed.
There is a google docs version of this fanfic if you prefer to read it with color-coding and renders here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1yyWWFX39RlK8MtlEc2KOvrAcwRNokhB09ea82rt__38/edit?usp=sharing
To make up for that here on AO3, I decided to add more optional codes :) enjoy!

Summary
“I just want to see my friend again.”
“Ace” shifted, tipping his head to the side again while Dragon noticed how much more suffocating the space felt, and how much colder it had gotten. He only realized his hands were trembling until now, instinctively hugging his hoodie in hopes of any ounce of warmth. There was none.
“THAT IS POSSIBLE.”
or: the entry "Brought Us Both", except Purple isn't there to save Dragon this time.
