   When Stanley pulls away from him, the Narrator pants, eyelids lowering. Perhaps he should find it embarrassing how he’s so wound up from a single kiss, but the hunger in Stanley’s eyes dispels any thought of the sort. He knows he’s just as desperate.

   "Careful," come Stanley’s taunting thoughts, pushed to the forefront of his mind so the Narrator can hear them loud and clear. "If you keep your mouth open like that, I just might have to put it to better use."
