Summary
Seventeen year-old Princess Rapunzel is awakened one morning by a strange note on her pillow. Assuming the note was left by her arranged fiancé, Charles (who she’s trying her very best to avoid), she doesn’t think much of it. Until the notes continue, and they’re clearly not from him.
Confined to her castle, completely isolated, and desperate for genuine companionship (aside from Pascal, of course), Rapunzel begins to correspond with the charming mystery man. In spite of herself, she starts to develop deep feelings for him as they build a trusting and honest friendship — or so she thinks.
On the night of her big engagement ball, Rapunzel is left with a final note that includes detailed directions on where and how to find her mystery man at the party. She can’t stop herself from going against her father’s rules to never leave the castle walls; she has to know him. She has to see his face, just once.
And she does, because that face belongs to the notorious Flynn Rider. But he’s no admirer.
