“Kenma,” Tetsurou said. "Why don’t you tell us about what you’re looking for?”
“I want you to figure out who is stalking me,” Kenma said. “Daichi told me you could help. This is—it’s all new for me. I’ve had lots of weird fan mail, but never to my house. And the pictures, and the-” he tried to hide a shiver and failed. “I hate knowing this guy is out there. I don’t need a bodyguard, I just need it to stop.”
“I don’t blame you for being pretty freaked out, or for wanting to find out who did this. We want that, too. But,” Tetsurou hesitated, glancing at Akaashi for help.
“We believe he will escalate, and soon,” Akaashi said, voice smooth and even. He met Kenma’s baleful gaze with a steady look of his own. “Personal protection may in fact be one of the best ways to catch him before it’s too late.”
“Too late for what?”
“Too late to keep you from getting hurt or killed,” Tetsurou cut in.

But he feels his nervousness fade away as he talks to Kuroo for some reason: as if he’s someone Kenma has known for a long time somehow. “I want you to be my personal painter.” / In which rich boy Kozume Kenma hires struggling painter Kuroo Tetsurou as his personal painter. Before Kenma sleeps, he takes in Kuroo’s sleeping face, the way he drools a little bit and he mumbles dumb little nothings in his sleep. He imagines Hana from work seeing this face in her bed before she falls asleep instead. Kenma doesn’t like it. But then again, he’s never been fond of change. He supposes it’s just something he’ll have to work through. / In which Kuroo and Kenma don't know they're dating and Kuroo tries to look for love elsewhere - to no avail.
