Summary
Kunigami leaned down over Chigiri, his hands still holding tight to the back of his chair. On his laptop, he could see the essay Reo had been talking about pulled up beside the rubric he'd forwarded to the redhead. He pretended to read it, meanwhile slowly releasing his pheromones over the beta to get rid of that horrible and unfitting smell of cotton and dandelions. It wasn't an awful stench, in fact, it fit Nagi’s personality stellarly. But seriously? Chigiri and dandelions? Chigiri was no run-of-the-mill weed found in every lawn there ever was. Chigiri was expensive, pretty, powdery, and floral with deep notes of wood, like a reminder of his masculine side. He’d smell much better in Kunigami’s bergamot and cedarwood scent than Nagi’s anyway.
Or Kunigami is in pre-rut and puts his pheromones all over Chigiri, who can't tell that the alpha has just told the world he belongs to him

Summary
Kunigami loved running along the beach at dawn.
Perhaps his favorite part was the feeling of newness that came with each sunrise, the sense of something magical glittering on the ocean’s surface.
And now, more and more frequently, was the occasional splash of something large always just out of the corner of his eye. Too big for a fish, he thought, but not big enough for a whale. Typical of beaches, there were always rumors of sharks or dolphins but Kunigami ran every morning and had never seen either one.
Then one day, he thought he finally caught a glimpse of a tail disappearing into the water.
Maybe it was a dolphin after all.
It wasn’t a dolphin.
Kunigami stared at the unconscious mermaid—er, merman, in his bathtub.
