Summary
“You can still be in control…” Jeremy murmurs. “Whatever you tell me to do.”
“Stop begging, you sound desperate.”
“You don’t like it?” Jeremy grins into his neck. He’s practiced in sacrificing his pride when guys ask him to, but Andrew isn’t asking. Jeremy just doesn’t mind—Andrew is someone Kevin trusts, and anyone Kevin trusts is worth Jeremy’s time. “No pressure, but I want to.”
“If you bore me, I’m leaving,” he threatens. “I don’t have time to teach you how to be good at this.”

Kevin is not Renee’s to have, but this is hers to hold onto, and no harm will come if she indulges just herself for a few moments. Wanting is not a crime.

Summary
“Sorry,” Jean opens with, still breathless. “I don’t—”
“It’s alright,” Cody hums, nails scratching at Jean’s scalp. Jean shivers, flicking them in the leg uselessly. They laugh, pressing a kiss at the corner of Jean’s mouth. “Whatever you want’s alright.”
His nose brushes against Cody’s, the stud there scraping skin. “What about you?”
“I just told you what I’m okay with, Jean,” they say, amusement lacing their tone. “We can keep going or never mention it again. Fine by me. We’re friends, right?”

Summary
“Should we be doing this?”
Jean regrets asking almost the moment he does, not really wanting Kevin to stop. He’s wanted Kevin for years, and the soft touch of him is almost enough to kill Jean.
Kevin just shrugs, though. He leans a little closer conspiratorially, lips tickling Jean’s ear in French, “We’re good at keeping secrets.”
Jean curses under his breath with a rapid nod.
“Just watch Jeremy,” Kevin says, his breath a little shaky. Through Jean’s shorts, the tip of Kevin’s finger finds a vein. He presses down on that with a little more interest, following it up the length as Jean curls his hands in the sheets. “Just focus on the game.”
Kevin and Jean share a mutual admiration for Jeremy Knox. Then they share Jeremy.

Summary
This is not fair. Jean has spent—he was—for five years of his teenage life, Jean had prayed for Kevin to even spare a glance his way. He’d hoped beyond hope, hoped enough to never hope again, that Kevin could take his eyes off the court for a single moment and look at him. The only comfort in any of it had been that Kevin could not like Jean back because he did not like men. To hear now that Kevin does makes the truth of the situation impossibly harder to bear. Fifteen years old Jean-Yves Moreau would have shaken out of his skin at the new bit of information.
Twenty-four year old Jean Moreau feels his mouth go dry.
It is shameful, but impossible, not to wonder for just a moment what would have happened had Kevin realized this sooner. In teenage Jean’s mind, there was never a chance, never anything to reach for. How different would things be if he knew there was the smallest one?
Or: when Kevin joins a team in the same city as Jean, Jean is forced to take a closer look at the choices he has, and hasn’t, made. Pairs are always destined for an eventual reunion.
