Summary
Former Deputy Headteacher Andrew Treneman has left Jack Rimmer in the trenches, and he was struggling desperately as Eddie Lawson kept going on him. Sure he was disciplined and could hold Jack accountable, but it wasn't the same.
Jack was desperate for Andrew to come back, especially after having PTSD from former drama teacher Izzie Redpath's death, dying in his arms. As a result, he was in constant fights with the husband, his once friend, now nemesis, Tom Clarkson - The English Teacher.
Jack's mental heath has declined even more rapidly, even chugging more pills when he isn't time yet, and is more emotional and angry, even though that's how it's always been. Andrew was the only person who saw right through Jack and wanted to help him, but psychically couldn't deny the offer he got for Africa. Jack can't handle being stabbed in the back, making him hostile and paranoid.
