Summary
An enemies to friends to lovers slow burn told through the alternating perspectives of two boys who discover the unexpected in a dark place. What starts out as a one-sided rivalry turns into a tenuous friendship, built on a mutual heartbreak of unrequited love. When they become bound together by the herculean task of keeping a secret too big for a soul to hold, something new is born from the rubble of their ruins. In the events that follow, Akaashi and Kuroo are forced to reconsider what defines love, loyalty, and compassion, and what it truly takes to weather a storm in the great sea of human unkindness.
Akaashi doesn’t know everything, despite what some people might think, but if there’s one thing he can be absolutely certain of, it’s that he could not possibly hate anyone more than he hates Kuroo Tetsurou.
