Two words. That tone. Arousal and trepidation rush through her, stealing her breath with them. She straightens instinctively from her slouch, chin up, her eyes wide as saucers. The danger claxons blaring in her head are of no help whatsoever because she's not a complete idiot; she knows when she's in trouble. A flash of red, easy conversation over a game of pool in her memory. Shit, she thinks, the missive from the council flashing in her mind. Maybe this is my fault after all.
Vi loves her wife and will talk everyone's ear off about her, even seven years into their relationship. Her wife thinks this is a problem. Her wife also thinks this is adorable, but that's beside the point.

Caitlyn Kiramman had settled into the background of her high school years. Now at Univeristy outside the watchful ever-present eye of her mother, she was committed to making sure this was different.
