The best thing about that room was Kim Namjoon, who sat there on the couch with white earphones and a red mp3 player in his lap. The best thing about that room was the loud, deafening bells that rang in Jungkook's head as soon as his eyes landed on Kim Namjoon.

It continues like this for months: Namjoon staying a careful distance away from everyone; Jungkook at arm’s length from him with shy, polite smiles; Jungkook’s mates barely looking at him unless necessary.
It’s fine, really. Nothing compared to what life could’ve been, if he’d stayed in Seoul when the outbreak began.
(Or: the post-apocalyptic AU in which omega!Namjoon has an arranged mating with Alpha!Jungkook in order to join his settlement, and Jungkook's other five mates aren't very happy about it.)
