    “As I just informed you,” she started as she sat down across from Ryuusei. “Your grades are worryingly low. The school and I have been discussing and…” she paused as if bracing for terrible news. “You can not play soccer until you get your grades up. We can’t allow a star athlete to have such terrible grades.”
    Ryuusei blinked slowly, a tremendous feat with the false lashes she wore. “I’m sorry. I thought you just said I couldn’t play soccer.” She laughed before her voice sharpened. “You didn’t just say I can’t play.”
    Her counselor sighed. “Miss Shidou, unfortunately until your grades improve we will have to remove you from the field.”
