Summary
This was as close to pre-crash Lottie as she’d ever seen her, but it wasn’t familiar anymore. Natalie’s stare stretched on shamelessly. In the span of a minute, she saw flashes of who Lottie had become in the wilderness. Her olive skin patched with dirt, dried blood and over a dozen healed cuts marring the her palms, those gentle brown eyes tracking Natalie’s movements through cutouts in protective furs. The comfort the image conjured was subtle enough to bury.
