The doctor couldn’t hurt a fly, but Tenn was strong— strong enough to protect them both from the organization. Tenn wanted to do anything in return for the one person on this planet that had treated him like an actual person.
A flash of hesitation crossed the doctor’s face, a protest about dragging Tenn into such a dangerous situation on the tip of his tongue, but the look of unwavering determination from Tenn made him let out a resigned sigh instead. “All right. We’ll go together.”

The mint-haired boy lets himself lie down on Tenn's bed again, arms spread out across the sheets, sighing. He tries to imagine himself going on dates with a mysterious person, maybe a classmate or someone else around his age. They would hold hands, cuddle, and…kiss. He feels his cheeks growing warm, but it's hard to actually imagine anyone in particular.
"So if someone…hypothetically…offers to be your fake partner so you could experience the high school romance that you want…would you want to?" His best friend asks suddenly.
"Hmm." Fake partner, huh? Sounds lowkey silly. "Depends on who's offering."
"And if that person was me?"
In which Haruka wants some high school romance experience, so Tenn volunteers to be his fake boyfriend.
