Summary
…“That’s…” Pau swallowed. “That’s a really weird way to ask someone to kiss you.”
“I didn’t ask,” Lamine was quick to correct, “I said I was thinking. Don’t make it a thing.”
‘Well first of all we are both guys and second of all we are best friends and third of all, why should I be an experiment for you to evaluate your girlfriend?’ Pau would’ve sounded crazier if he said this, right?
—or in which Pau has Dilated Cardiomyopathy, a heart condition that makes him count his days and Lamine is the boy who makes him want to waste them beautifully.

Summary
For the vast majority of athletes competing in the 2026 FIFA World Cup, the biggest and most obvious thing that was on their minds was making it to the final and winning it all for their teams and countries. But, for Pau Cubarsí, there was something even more important than winning the World Cup on his mind and that was his more than embarrassing crush on his teammate and best friend, Lamine Yamal.
Or
Pau has been crushing on Lamine since the 0-4 El Clásico in 2024 and is dead set on keeping it a secret for the rest of his life. So, what exactly is he supposed to do when the lines begin to blur between him and Lamine during the most important tournament of their entire professional football careers? Will they be able to figure things out and manage their newfound relationship while also fighting for what could be Spain’s second ever victory at the World Cup?
