No longer taking action for yourself?” Dainty, porcelain fingernails dig into the etched wood table as if he is about to crawl across it to eat Marik alive. In different circumstances . . . "Redemption" is an ugly word, and a false one. As a term it implies a set beginning and end, that someone is keeping track, that one day you will have done enough and simply wake up, forgiven. This is a lie. There is no great list of your evils to be crossed off one by one, if there's even such a thing as evil. There is only living, and tomorrow.
