Mike leaned back slightly, gripping the chains, staring up at the sky as it shifted from blue to purple. He thought about everything they’d lost and everything they’d somehow kept. About how Will had been brave in ways Mike still didn’t understand. About how he’d almost lost him, more times than he could count.
“I was really scared,” Mike said suddenly, before he could stop himself.
Will turned to look at him. “Of what?”
“Of losing you,” Mike admitted, his voice quieter now.

Mike starts kissing Will on the cheek. He tells himself it’s about comfort, about making sure Will is still here. He tells himself it doesn’t mean anything at all.
He is very wrong.

“So… not him, then,” Mike murmured to himself, thoughtful.
He let his gaze drift back to the blond. The guy was looking towards Will again. Wait, no. He was staring at Mike and Will’s feet, tangled together beneath the table. The boy looked up, caught Mike’s eyes for a fleeting moment, then blinked and looked away, shoulders slumping slightly.
Mike couldn’t help the little surge of smug satisfaction - and relief. He shoved it aside and turned back to Will.
Will smiled across the table at him and squeezed Mike’s ankle again.
“No,” Will said softly. “Not him.”

Post-Vecna. Mike Wheeler is determind to be a good friend. So he tries to help Will find a boyfriend.
This goes terribly wrong when Mike realises he wants to be the boyfriend.

She marches ahead, Robin following, pushing past writhing teenagers with determined fury. That anger, that cold, icy selfish need to have Robin to herself has turned hot and molten in her stomach. It’s no longer quite as fiery, but it’s just as consuming, and as they reach the stairs, Nancy realises what it is she wants.
She’s proved that Robin is hers to Vickie. Now she wants to prove it to Robin, too.
