When Robb climbed off his horse his boots sank several inches into the mud. He never imagined he’d be glad to find himself back in the Neck, surrounded by swamp on all sides, but at the very least it meant they were safe. For now, in any case.
Arya remained seated in the saddle, gazing around with tired eyes. She’d hardly spoken a word since they’d left the Twins. Most of them hadn’t.
Robb looked behind them at his small preseason. A small handfuls of men who’d been at the edge of the camp when the Freys attacked.
