“P’Net,” JJ begins. “I’m not…the JJ you know. I mean, I’m not the JJ who’s supposed to be here. I’m not your JJ.”
When Net doesn’t respond immediately, JJ glances over at him. His brow is wrinkled, and JJ watches his eyes flick back and forth, up and down, analyzing every inch of him.
“I can’t explain it, but I’m from a different world, and somehow, I came here to yours.”
(JJ is haunted by dreams of the day Net left him. It's easier to pretend he's fine, he's moved on, he's sleeping well, than try to heal old wounds. But falling into another world, another life, another Net threatens to tear down every wall he tried to build up and teach him that things can be different.)
