Summary
The awkward shuffle of their feet and the weight of In-ho’s body against his conjures a memory from days earlier. Legs cuffed together, arms linked, Young-il’s body, warm and solid, pressed close to his own, a constant presence through the fear, and exhilaration, and victory.
Gi-hun had felt something tighten in his chest when their fingers brushed together; had felt a fluttering in his stomach when their legs swung out as one; had felt warmth, everywhere, when Young-il smiled for him in a way he never seemed to smile for the others. It was just a hint of connection, or perhaps friendship.
Or affection.
All of it had been a lie. All of it, a betrayal.
s3 alternate ending, and the fallout. Gi-hun and the baby escape the game with Inho’s help, but the consequences of his hero game follow them off the island. They find themselves injured and on the run, with an infant to care for, and only Jun-ho to trust.

Summary
Slowly, he pushes back the hood of his topcoat and unclips the strap behind his head. Player 456 sits up straighter as he does, watching with intense curiosity and burning hatred. In-ho focuses hard on the man’s face, cataloguing each breath, each microexpression, determined to memorize the look on the man’s face as he reveals his treachery. Once In-ho’s eyes are uncovered, he sees the jolt of understanding hit. He watches, rapt, as a succession of shock, confusion, denial, and finally, fury, crosses the man’s face. In-ho grips the firearm still in his hand and braces again for attack, but the precaution is unnecessary. As quickly as the fury had come, it, too, went, replaced by something like resignation, like defeat. Yes, he thinks, defeat.
In-ho is determined to break player 456 by any means necessary, but as the lines between pain and pleasure begin to blur, so too do the lines between captor and captive.

Something about the way Gi-hun called him their dog, the way the accusation— of kneeling and obeying and begging for scraps— conjured unexpected imagery in his mind, the way Gi-hun spat the words at him, red-faced and wide-eyed, stoked a different type of flame inside him.
It took surprisingly little negotiation to get from there to here. Here is an unspoken understanding. A symbiosis. A need to understand, and a need to be understood. A need to see, and a need to be seen. A need to hurt, and a need to be hurt. And both knowing there could never be anyone else who could fill those needs for them.

It had taken a considerable amount of scotch for In-ho to share the fantasy and the events surrounding it. It shouldn’t have, he thought— of the top ten most vulnerable moments of his life, Gi-hun had been present for at least seven of them, and had never once been anything but endlessly patient and supportive. Something about this, though, it was more than vulnerability; there was a thick layer of shame to it as well, not for what he’d done, but for what he might have done.
In-ho shares a foundational experience. Takes place after Not from the absence of violence, but despite the abundance of it, directly references the events of Close my eyes, fantasize chapter 1.

In-ho had a wedding, once. It was lovely. It was important to his wife, and his family, and he was happy to go through the public vows and the party for them, but it was the marriage he cared about, not the wedding. That’s how he felt now. They had already recited more vows to one another than In-ho would have thought possible. They were already devoted and loyal and happy and in love and more, why not call Gi-hun what he was? Although to be fair, there wasn't an easy shortcut word for light of my life, my savior, my everything, the best man I’ve ever known, the most beautiful and kindhearted and funniest smart-assed bastard on earth, but husband would suffice.
Domestic bliss, mostly. Takes place a little while after One of us will die inside these arms.

“Yeah,” he continued, “it was, god, maybe twenty-four hours after I met you. Well, met Young-il.”
In-ho was stunned by that, his mouth and hands freezing in place, “What?”
“Oh, don’t stop, god,” Gi-hun whined, pressing his hips up into In-ho’s hand, “yeah, just like that, keep going.”
In-ho recovered from his shock and began stroking him again, laughing softly at Gi-hun's needy impatience, and kissing along his collarbone, “Ok, ok go on.”

Summary
They wrapped their arms around each other, Gi-hun’s head tucked under In-ho’s chin, legs slotted together, neither willing to let go, to put any amount of empty space between them. In-ho felt Gi-hun relax and drift off in his arms, but sleep eluded him, that voice in his head still whispering that it could be the last time.
He kissed the top of Gi-hun's head, and trailed his fingertips lightly over his back, tracing patterns and shapes and words over the soft, warm skin. Each second that passed brought them closer to whatever fate awaited them in the morning, and In-ho felt a pit of dread settle into his stomach. He had no idea what to expect, who they would encounter, how or if they would succeed, but he knew one thing beyond any doubt, there was nothing he wasn’t prepared to do, or to endure, to keep Gi-hun safe from harm.
Sequel to Close my eyes, fantasize, In-ho and Gi-hun embark on an international investigation into the organization behind the games. Can they hold onto this gentle love between them when they’re forced to face brutality beyond what either of them have ever experienced?

It wasn’t a question, so Gi-hun didn’t condescend to treat it as such. There was no reason to hide this, hide anything, from In-ho now, but somehow it still felt like a small defeat, letting his oldest, dearest secret out into the light. He took a moment to mourn, to feel the sting of grief and the raw vulnerability of truth, before responding.
Takes place sometime after Not from the absence of violence, but despite the abundance of it. An ode to first loves and to the secret sacred spaces we hide them within our hearts. Dedicated to AJ, we had our own sort of fight to the death, didn't we?

"Now consider: it doesn't need to be my hand here," she punctuated the "here" with a tight squeeze of her fist around him, "you can imagine it's someone else, you know. Anyone else. Anyone you want, we’ll make it happen."
In-ho appreciated the gesture, the fantasy, but his mind was blank. If the beautiful naked woman in his bed wasn’t enough, what would be?
"Maybe... maybe one of your friends out there, mmm? One of the players? You looked so… energetic out there competing. Maybe… player 456...?"
The first thing Hwang In-ho did after quelling the player revolt was take a long, scalding hot shower. The second thing he did was swallow a generous pour of single-malt whiskey. The third thing he did was beckon worker 119, a woman whose specialty was serving (and servicing, as needed) the VIP guests, to his bed.
The third thing doesn't quite go as planned, and a startling new aspect of his fascination with player 456 is revealed to him. In-ho must decide how far he's willing to go, and how much he's willing to sacrifice, for the sake of Seong Gi-hun.
