“I just,” Dani starts, face brightening, “I love flowers, all plants really,” and Jamie smiles at the unexpected answer. “I suck at growing them, I mean at keeping them alive. I don’t try to suck but I do, so bad,” Dani shrugs, a frown taking over her face and Jamie feels an unexpected urge to make it go away. “I just think that’s really cool I guess,” she smiles again, “that’s all.”

“No, I—I. Um.” Quiet. A steadying breath. “Now you’re just teasing me,” Kara murmurs, a dusting of red high on her cheeks. Lena’s delighted.
“First, you come into my home unexpectedly,” Lena says, and Kara whispers-justifies a quiet yeah, to cuddle, “and now you lick my neck. What’s next?”
Or, here's the thing: Lena has been in love with Kara for a long time. If Kara knows, then Kara doesn’t seem to mind.

Summary
Kara’s eyes widen as she watches Lena chant something else and the yellow ochre aura grows, mirrored in the thin ring that rims Lena’s irises.
Neither of them move. They can only stare in awe and slight disbelief at the light pulsing in Lena’s steadied palm. The physical manifestation of her magic, so stable and powerful and tangible leaves Lena stunned. She laughs, a little breathless and still a bit shocked but she’s happy too.
“See?” Kara whispers directly into Lena’s ear. “It’s always been inside you.”
OR
Kara is struggling with being back. Lena is struggling to make sense of her new gift. Turns out they are the answer to each other’s problems.

Lena stares at her open arms, eyes widening once she realizes what Kara is offering.
It's one thing to hug and let it linger for far longer than is really considered simply friendly. It's another entirely to wrap your best friend up in your arms while you wait for some water to boil.

Kara butchers some hot cocoa but Lena drinks it anyway. Kara could not be more in love with her.
