“Hey,” Chimney’s voice cuts through the silence of the evening as he appears at the patio door. She turns to him, giving him her best attempt at a smile, despite the tears settling in her eyes. “Tea or wine? I’m not sure what one I need more.”
She considers his words for a moment. The thought of wine is tempting, but not tonight. “Tea for me tonight, thanks Chim.”
He nods, turning to go back in.
