Summary
"They don’t talk - never have. It’s funny, Max thought. They’ve been racing together for years - decades even. Yet outside of the paddock they’re barely more than strangers. Chatting together during interviews - sharing meaningful (or meaningless, Max considers) looks. It’s not like he minds it per se, Max thinks to himself, it’s just a bit funny. He loves to race the dude - loves beating him more accurately - but a friendship never came of it."
Set during the ’21 season, in which Max is fighting for the championship, Charles is suffering at the hands of Ferrari, and where two rivals become something more than either had ever anticipated. After all - they had never talked outside of the paddock before.

““You fucking bastard,” Max growls against him, leg pushed between his own legs and oh God what the fuck. Max looks insane. His hair is drenched with sweat, his eyes are so wide blue is almost invisible, and his lips are raw, bitten open. Charles feels dizzy.”
TLDR: Charles wins Monaco and Max “rewards” him with a quickie in the cooldown room as Lewis watches.

"‘Me and Brian will share a room, and you and Deaky will!’ Freddie said it so casually, the most normal thing in the world of course. So, Roger didn’t really think about it, to be honest. He had shared a room with plenty of blokes before, nothing wrong with that.
Looking back, Roger probably should’ve asked why Freddie mentioned it at all, because he only found out when they were already at the hotel.
‘One bed?’ Roger’s eyebrows were slightly tilted. Not that he was upset or anything, but for God’s sake Freddie, couldn’t you have mentioned this before?"
tldr: Roger and John have to share a bed.
