Really, Connor shouldn't even be there in the first place. If he thinks about it, there's nothing for him to do in Vancouver—other than spending time with Hudson, obviously, but apparently that is more important than just rotting in LA, mostly alone. "There you are! An eclair?" He asks, ducking back into the kitchen to take out the croissants from the oven. Even through the oven gloves he wears he can feel just how hot the pan is, and he winces, placing the pan down onto the kitchen counter. There is nothing he can really do while the croissants settle down, so he wipes his hands and enters the main area.
"Not today, champ. We're here just for a moment." Daniel says.
Behind him, there stands a man. He's a new face around here, someone Max hasn't seen in the cafe before. He looks a bit dishevelled and anxious, as if standing in the cafe is making him want to crawl out of his body. His eyes move skittishly around everything as he avoids looking at Max directly. Despite Daniel's calming and cheerful demeanour, the man behind him is silent.

In the water, moved around by the waves at around shin depth, there is… something. It seems rather large, far bigger than any of the fish Max has seen in his life before. Max squints and leans closer to the large shape. Then, he freezes.
Time seems to stop as he watches the… thing in front of him. Emerald green eyes glare at him from the water, watching him like a predator stalking its prey.

Ferrari, facing a major loss in sponsorship money, offer him a choice: leave Ferrari and motorsport forever, or agree to an invite only auction for the rights to mate him, with proceeds filling the hole in the budget.
Charles comes up with a plan to save himself, get an alpha he trusts, get Ferrari's money back, and keep his seat.
Unfortunately, Max Verstappen comes up with a plan, too.

Summary
Boothill lost all of himself when his body was replaced with metal and wires. When an enemy strike destroys his framework and leaves him facing death- or it's analog- once again, he finds someone there by his side, and more than willing to help him find that humanity buried deep within.

Argenti and Boothill spend a little more time with each other, learning the bounds of Boothill's anatomy and finding workarounds to get closer in spite of the distance and obstacles before them.
