“You’re shit at running, you know?” Junichirou huffs, needing to actually slow down so that Tachihara keeps up with him.“I don’t make a habit of it, unlike some people,” Tachihara retorts right back, but his cheeks are flushed with exertion already.
“Then I’m surprised you aren’t dead.” Junichirou leaves it at that, tugging on Tachihara’s jacket - that he never let go of -as they make a sharp left turn into a residential area. “Stop being a baby and run faster!”
Junichirou Tanizaki exists in the background. And in the background, he meets Michizou Tachihara, the Black Lizard battalion leader with more secrets under his skin than lies on his tongue; someone to loathe, someone to spit at.
Strenuous circumstances keep bringing them together, but the stakes keep getting higher. The Shibusawa Incident made them a pair, and the mission after leaves them, and Dazai, as the only people in the world who remember who Junichirou Tanizaki and Michizou Tachihara are.

Dazai’s eyes drop to the phone held in Ranpo’s tight grip to the uncompromising set of his jaw, mentally weighting his options.
“That’s fair,” he huffs, holding up his palm in a ‘gimme’ motion. “I guess if it’s Ranpo-san, I can make an exception.”
Or, Ranpo is the only member of the Agency Dazai is not allowed to ignore or hang up on. Naturally, when the day finally comes, Ranpo knows, with inevitable dread, to expect the worst. He's right to.

Summary
The two of them are standing next to each other—a captive audience to Midoriya and Kota roughhousing—when Kota hauls off and dick punches Midoriya as hard as he can, really not holding anything back. Midoriya goes down with a choked gasp that has Bakugou chuckling fondly beside him.
When Shouto looks at him, he’s smiling softly. Proud, like Kota just won gold at the science fair or helped a little old lady walk across the street.
“He’s absolutely your kid, huh?” Shouto asks, voice deceptively neutral. “Like a mini version of you.”
Bakugou shoves at his shoulder, rolling his eyes while trying not to laugh. “Shut the fuck up, Half ‘n half.”

Shouto’s been a nanny for the last few years and is well versed in both kids and their high maintenance parents. He’s worried he may have finally met his match in “perpetual problem child” Kota—only to find out they get along perfectly.
