Summary
After defying a god, resisting her darkest urges, and saving the world, Juniper, once the Bhaalspawn known as the Dark Urge finds herself completely, terrifyingly free. With no home to return to and no memories of a life before the tadpole, she accepts Gale’s offer to stay in his tower in Waterdeep. When Astarion, now unable to walk in the sun, has nowhere to go, Juniper asks Gale if he can stay too.
Reluctantly, the three former allies become unlikely roommates: a haunted sorceress trying to rebuild her identity, a vampire cut off from daylight, and a wizard with a tower full of books and feelings he refuses to name.
As they research a way to bring sunlight back into Astarion’s life, old wounds resurface, new bonds form, and unspoken feelings begin to stir. Juniper thought saving the world was the hard part. But learning how to live in it might prove even harder.

Summary
No one does this, she thought in disbelief. No one touches me.
Despite his warning, Wyll leaned in very slowly and very gently. Her forehead knocked against the roots of his horns and she felt him take a steadying breath before leaning in further, pressing his lips to hers. Her stomach swooped in whirling delight as he squeezed her against him, his hard lines and ridges of his chest pressing against her. He didn't deepen the kiss, she expected because he was more self-conscious about the forked tongue than he needed to be. He pulled back, watching her from under heavy lidded eyes. "Was that okay?" she asked.
"It was okay," he confirmed, then grinned mischievously. "It was also wonderful, breathtaking, achingly intimate, and like every beautiful dream I've ever had."
She flushed. "Don't oversell."
"I promise you, I exaggerate nothing about the angel whose hair drinks the moonlight, sunken down to this silver-lit beach before me, a lilac vision—"
"Wyll!"

Summary
“You deserve it, though, Wyll. You deserve a fairytale. And you’re too fucking nice, so you’re trying to convince yourself you don’t want it, but you do. And I’m going to keep you from it.”
“I have the fairytale,” he shrugs. “I’m living it. Every second I get to spend with you, every kiss, every time you make me laugh, it’s…perfect.”
Your eyes are stinging now, and you blink furiously, avoiding his gaze. “Those stories, those fairytales, I’m not in them. They’re not about girls like me. Those girls are sweet and pretty and delicate. They’re not insecure, or angry. They don’t have horns and a tail. They’re not fucking turquoise, Wyll.”
“They are when I read them.”
