“Sakaguchi Ango,” Dazai insists. “I did not just ask Chuuya out on a date—”
“But don’t you want to?”
Silence.
Dazai turns, very slowly in his seat, like the earth on its axis, until he comes face to face with the culprit. “OdaSaku,” he says, pained. “My best friend… why have you forsaken me?”
Wherein Dazai invites Chuuya to Lupin, his sole two friends take the opportunity to gently bully and humiliate him under the guise of wingman-ing, and his regret is as deep and vast as the sea.
