Summary
Everything Castiel is, everything he’s made of, is hitched to a thin golden string attached to Dean Winchester’s soul, tugging him closer, begging him to let them collide.
He recalls Aristophanes’ story of creation; the one in which humans were split in two as a divine punishment, forever in search of their other half.
Cas is not human, but he understands the sentiment.

Summary
The "Dean Cave" was supposed to be a place for loud movies and cheap beer, but with Castiel sitting exactly three inches away, it feels more like a sanctuary.
Between a black-and-white noir film and a sixty-four-minute nap on a trench-coated shoulder, Dean realizes that "hanging out" might just be the most dangerous thing they’ve ever done—mostly because it makes him want to stay right here forever. When the credits roll on a classic Western and the neon beer sign is the only thing lighting the room, a simple moment of lacing fingers feels more heroic than saving the world.
Or: Dean and Cas share a bowl of buttery popcorn, a few cowboy movies, and the realization that the Bunker finally feels like home.
