He laughs, “Good thing you’re not most people.” Buck steps towards Dex, closing the short distance between them. “Isn’t that right?”
“Maybe.” It’s dangerous, the game they’re playing. Both for Cashman’s career and for the fact that either of them could kill the other. Both of them want to kill the other. A desire engraved deep in their bones, as strong as the desire for intimacy. They mingle, twist together until they’re both fucked up enough to get off on this.
