“You good?” San asked, leaning close to murmur near Yeosang’s temple.
Yeosang nodded too quickly. “Yeah. Yeah, I just—there’s a lot of people.”
They kept walking, and Yeosang stayed quiet. He blinked up at the Ferris wheel as they passed it, but his smile didn’t quite reach his eyes. San offered to buy him a stuffed bunny from one of the prize booths, but Yeosang shook his head, mouth tight.
The turning point came fast.
Someone in the crowd accidentally brushed against Yeosang from behind — not a hard shove, just a careless touch. But their hand grazed his tail.
Yeosang froze. Ears flattened.

He caught himself staring at the closed door in the hallway, the one that led to the spare room where San had been locked away since the night before last. No sound. No growling. No scratching at the walls like last time. Nothing but stillness and the vague scent of rut musk bleeding faintly through the crack under the door.
Wooyoung caught the look.
“Is he even awake?” he asked, eyebrows raised.
“He was awake this morning,” Yeosang replied, pulling eggs from the bag. “He was… warm. Sweaty. Clingy. But out of it. He barely even looked at me.”
“Mm. Sedatives are doing their thing, then.”

San’s rut arrives, but with Yeosang heavily pregnant, he takes rut sedatives and locks himself in the guest room. It's the responsible thing to do. Yeosang, eight months pregnant and absolutely not getting enough attention, has other plans.

The younger hums and presses a feather light kiss to San’s sternum. His blond hair falls forward and partly covers his eyes, grazing the bronzed skin of San’s stomach, the tingling touch making San squirm.
“Woke up early,” Wooyoung answers, his warm breath dancing over San’s chest as he moves up to nuzzle his nose between the valley of San’s sculpted pecs. San shivers, and he curses his treacherous cunt for clenching in interest when his lover blows hot air over his nipples, making them stand up in stiff peaks in just a few seconds.
“Saw you sleeping next to me,” his boyfriend continues, “all soft and relaxed and pliant. Got hard. I’m a simple man.”

To be fair, it's not really love at first sight that strikes him when he meets Diluc, a single father whose daughter Kaeya babysits after class, but more so bisexual panic at first sight. But as they get to know each other, the sparks that fly between them get harder to ignore; there is something about Diluc that just... clicks.
And Kaeya would be stupid to not seize this chance.
