Summary
There’s a narrow crack in between the two curtains that hang in front of his floor to ceiling windows and a small stream of sunlight breaks through it, casting a luminous shadow over his otherwise dark bedroom. The light hurts his eyes a little when he gazes at it.
His heart also hurts a little every time he looks at those windows. They remind Louis of him. The way his eyes lit up the moment they stepped into the bedroom during the viewing. His lips parted on a gasp as he whispered, “This is it, Lou. This is our home.”
