He knows Zayn is right, that he isn’t what Harry deserves but if he tries to be every day, he might get close. Louis doesn’t know what exactly caused them to fall into this vicious cycle. Maybe it was the hiding. Maybe it was taking things for granted. Maybe it was the self-doubt and the jealousy. All Louis knew was Harry was it for him, he couldn’t possibly settle for anyone else after having the best of the best. He loved Harry so much it made his head spin and his heart hurt just thinking about it. All he wanted in life was to see Harry happy (he also wanted ten little Tomlinson-Styles running around and a couple animals and a house in the country, but that was neither here, nor there) and he knew then that he was going to do everything he possibly could to make up for his shittiness, and never, ever let them drift apart again.-

Summary
Harry could be loud. In fact, he used to be very loud. He was always the center of attention. He just chooses to keep to himself. It’s a bit funny, in Harry’s eyes. Back when he was carefree and happy, everyone loved him. The girls swooned over him; the guys thought he was hilarious. He was friends with everybody, always smiling and humming and greeting people like they were the only person in the world. It’s funny because as soon as Harry got a taste of reality, and lost his will to smile for no reason, he was forgotten; tossed away like a piece of broken glass.
He became invisible, until one fateful evening when he met a boy with blue eyes and tan skin and he watched himself begin to fall, without being able to do anything to stop it.

Or, the one where Harry is afraid of falling in love, Louis pines pathetically, all Zayn and Liam want to do is make heart eyes at each other, and Niall is just enjoying life.
