Summary
“You are not like any other thing I have ever seen before, human.” The siren started, his fingers moving slowly in controlled loops, the waves coming and going, breaking against the rocks. “You carry no filth in you. No rot, no rage. Just sorrow. And I do not know what to do with sorrow.”
Felix didn’t look away. His eyes were glassy now, but steady. “That’s all I have left.”
Felix went to the sea like he always did, to let the waves carry away the weight of everything he could no longer hold. But the ocean had other plans.
